On the Use of Multiple Models and Formal Control Synthesis in Batch Control

چکیده
This paper takes a closer look on control design in batch processes and points out possibilities to use formal mathematical methods for control synthesis. The control synthesis process is divided into two parts: static and dynamic resource allocation. Both design activities require information about different aspects of the system and hence, different models. Suitable models for these resource allocations are proposed and it is shown how formal methods can be used to solve the allocation problems.
